QUESTION FOR YOU!
Most challenged and/or banned books are treated as such because of the bests interests of children. Can you think of any other group that would need to be protected from books? Why?
I'll answer your question soon! I want to see if other people can come up with some. A hint though: look at the list of banned books and their reasonings...
Izzy had a popular one with religious groups, but another group that is becoming popular with banning books are those for gay/lesbian rights who find some material offensive. Also, racial issues are popular as well.

I've toggled my mind and I can't really think of any groups. That was a great question though.

My guess is that many different religious groups would challenge books.
I can't think of any group needing protection. I prefer to make choices for myself and support others' rights to make choices as well :)
